Taking time off
Peter Robinson paddle boarding on Lake Coniston - photo by Bianca Robinson
I have taken a rare bit off time off from publishing Molton Monthly Magazine with a much needed break in the Lake District with my wife Bianca.
It’s very beautiful up here, much more mountainous than Exmoor and a lot more tourism. But like North Devon, we still managed to find quiet corners to enjoy the beautiful scenery and wildlife. I have been paddle boarding for 25 years, mostly on the sea, and this was my first experience on a lake which was a very different experience.
I’m marking 40 years of news journalism this year, and I have just been commissioned to write a story by the British Library for an upcoming book and exhibition - a pretty special honour!
I can’t tell you more about it until the show is launched, but I can say it has a fascinating link with Devon…
