It’s goodbye from me
The April 2026 edition front cover on the desktop publishing software
Publisher Peter Robinson with the 2025 Northern Devon Flourishing Cultures award for rural community engagement
I have just sent my final issue as publisher to print. The April 2026 edition brings my time here to a close. It will be out with your hard working delivery team here in North Devon from March 25th.
I have tended to stay behind the scenes, but this is me above, saying goodbye after ten years of publishing your Molton Monthly Magazine. It is time to ‘retire’, although I do plan to continue writing as a freelance journalist and I have a book about Agatha Christie in the pipeline.
The magazine has gone from strength to strength, doubling in both distribution and number of pages, and picking up a few awards along the way for its role in our rural community.
This wouldn’t have been possible without the many advertisers, contributors, the hard working delivery team and of course you, the readers. A special ‘thank you’ goes to Karolina Andreasova, the South Molton based photographer and artist. Her exemplary work documenting life in the local area has been invaluable. And also thank you to my wife Bianca.
It has been an amazing opportunity to be at the heart of the rural community here in North Devon and Exmoor, and thank you wholeheartedly for your support - not least to my wife Bianca - for being part of making Molton Monthly Magazine such a great success.
From next month’s May 2026 edition, Lewis Coppard will be at the helm. You will already find his phone number at the bottom of the pages in the magazine and on the website, the email address is remaining the same. With his brother and parents, they run Bideford Link, North Devon Insight in Barnstaple and EX33 Magazine in the Braunton area.
If you have a story to tell, photos or events please keep sending them in. I am sure Lewis will welcome contributions to the magazine from regular correspondents.
‘Farewell you lovely people’, as a certain local treasure used to say!
