Changes ahead but business as usual

Peter Robinson news journalist reporter publisher Molton Monthly Magazine

Peter Robinson, publisher of Molton Monthly Magazine, is retiring

I wanted to let you know that after a decade at the helm of Molton Monthly Magazine, and having reached a certain age, I have decided to retire and pass the publication on to new owners.

Having worked as an award-winning reporter for 40 years, including at the highest levels for ITV News and national newspapers and magazines, I will be continuing to write as a freelance journalist and plan to author my first book.

It's been an amazing opportunity to be at the heart of the rural community here in North Devon and Exmoor, and thank you wholeheartedly for your support and being part of making it such a great success.

I want to reassure you that your magazine is continuing and it will be business as usual now and in the future - it celebrates its 20th anniversary next year - although my last as publisher will be the April 2026 edition.

From the May issue onwards Molton Monthly Magazine will be looked after by Lewis Coppard, who also publishes the Bideford Link magazine, guided by his parents Alex and Lisa Tutton. They are a North Devon family who have been running local community news and business advertising magazines since 2005, so I am confident that it will be in safe hands going forward. His brother Danny runs North Devon Insight in Barnstaple and EX33 Magazine in Braunton.

Do keep sending your content and adverts as normal, and if you would like to write regular or occasional stories for Molton Monthly Magazine for the new publishers they will be happy to hear from you.

The handover is already underway behind the scenes, and I am currently finishing the March edition and planning my last issue for April. Please continue to support your Molton Monthly Magazine as it heads towards its 20th year, with Lewis and his family looking after you.
