World Cup beckons for South Molton rugby star Emma
Emma Sing in action for the Red Roses
South Molton’s Emma Sing is in the England Squad for the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup which gets underway on August 22nd.
Emma started playing aged just six, and honed her skills at a young age with South Molton Rugby Football Club.
She made her senior debut for the Red Roses in 2022, and her performances with both her Premiership winning team Gloucester-Hartpury and in the Six Nations for England earlier this year, have seen the 24 year old selected to play for her country again on the biggest stage of her career so far.
England were runners-up to New Zealand in the last World Cup and are unbeaten since then. This year’s tournament gets underway with them playing the USA in Sunderland on August 22nd.
Following the success of their football counterparts the Lionesses, winning the Euros for the second time in July, the Red Roses will be aiming to bring home the Rugby World Cup trophy for the first time since 2014.
Several of the matches including the quarter and semi finals are being played in Exeter and Bristol. Tickets are available online via the official website.
